Our beneficiaries receive a percentage of race registration fees, but we also create unique opportunities to raise funds and awareness for the vital programs these charities serve. Additional fundraising programs include the following:
Race for Free: Athletes raise money via sponsorships and pledges from family, friends and co-workers and in turn race for free. Both of our key events, Deschutes Dash and Haulin' Aspen. Raise funds for our beneficiary and race for free.
REI Community Challenge: The Community Challenge at the Deschutes Dash is a way for you, your company or a group of friends to help raise awareness and funds for The Boys & Girls Club of Central Oregon. We hope to generate $10,000 in 2006 from this program alone!
Aid Station Sponsors: Trail marathons and half marathons need lots of support. This program allows local companies to donate funds directly to the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic (minimum donation of $250) and provide volunteers to staff the aid stations on the course. 2006 Aid Station sponsors so far include: Bend Memorial Clinic, High Desert Promotions & Printing, Sage Insurance, Deschutes County Health Department and The Retina Clinic of the Cascades. Thank you! Our goal is to generate over $2K from this program in 2006.
About our beneficiaries

The Boys & Girls Clubs seek to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens. Their programs focus on five core areas with Sports, Fitness and Recreation one of them. 2006 marks the 10th anniversary for Boys & Girls Clubs programs in Central Oregon.
VIM provides healthcare to low-income, uninsured familes in Deschutes County. The core of their vision is that every citizen in our county is entitled to receive basic health care. By contributing a percentage of race entries and financial support from the aid station sponsors, we can help the VIM achieve their goals.
